Following our recent Ofsted inspection, which took place on the 3rd and 4th of July, 2024, Hasmonean Primary School has once again been judged as a ‘Good’ school. The inspection highlighted many aspects of our school of which we are incredibly proud.

Here are some of the highlights from the Ofsted report:

  • Pupils feel happy and proud to be part of our inclusive school, where strong working relationships with staff create a welcoming and supportive environment.
  • The school’s curriculum is ambitious and well-designed, enabling pupils to achieve high standards across many subjects.
  • Staff were praised for their consistent approach to managing behaviour, helping to foster positive attitudes in both lessons and throughout the school.
  • Pupils, including those with special educational needs and/or disabilities (SEND), work hard to meet the high expectations set for them and are supported effectively to succeed.
  • The school provides a broad range of extra-curricular activities, helping pupils develop their talents and interests while making a positive contribution to both the school and the wider community.

These are just a few of the points made in the report. We are extremely proud of these achievements, which reflect the hard work and dedication of our staff, governors, parents, and of course, our wonderful pupils.

As with every school, there are always areas for improvement, and the report rightly mentions our continued work to ensure the updated curriculum is fully embedded across all subjects. This work is already underway to ensure that we continue to build on our success, ensuring that every child at Hasmonean Primary continues to thrive both academically and personally.
